KXL's Brett Reckamp does a walk and talk with Chris Regis of Green Century Recycling in Portland. Chris talks to workers and about their process of analyzing, separating, refurbishing and recycling of electronic waste. After materials like old computers, laptops, cell phones, tablets and such are brought into their warehouse, they all get separated and logged in. As materials move through the R2 Certified system at Green Century they get ready to make their trip downstream where they will be permanently and safely recycled. Chris says it's important they they be able to provide proof of 100% wiping and recycling of products to their customers. It's a unique view of a electronic waste recycling facility on Superbowl Sunday.
